The castle of the Dukes of Brittany
During your stay in Nantes, do not miss the famous castle of the Dukes of Brittany and its history museum.
In the heart of the medieval district, this emblematic site, built at the end of the 15th century by François II and his daughter Anne de Bretagne, invites you to dive into the history of the city of Nantes!
A castle but not only...Deployed over 32 rooms, the castle museum today presents nearly 1100 collection objects (painting, sculpture, plan, ship model...) and offers many temporary exhibitions.
Practical information :
- The courtyard and the ramparts are freely accessible 7 days a week, from 8:30 am to 7 pm and from 8:30 am to 8 pm from July 1 to August 31.
- The interior of the castle, the museum and the exhibitions are open from 10am to 6pm (closed on Mondays) and from 10am to 7pm, 7 days a week from July 1 to August 31.
